EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Dr. Shirley is proud to have trained at premier institutions across the country. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in molecular biology from BYU he obtained his medical degree from Columbia University in New York City. He then spent 5 years training in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Finally, Dr. Shirley chose to spend an additional year training at the nation's top Hip and Knee reconstruction (replacement) fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC.
